BIOGRAPHY
Alaina Devine focuses her practice on civil litigation, including product liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical and premises liability cases. She has experience in both state and federal courts representing a wide range of national and international corporations and insurance companies in complex and often high stakes litigation involving multiple parties and multi-million dollar claims, as well as small businesses and individuals in general liability disputes. Alaina is presently defending an environmental-services firm in over a dozen putative class actions, hundreds of individual actions, and a lawsuit by the Attorney General in Michigan related to the Flint Water Crisis.
Prior to joining Campbell Conroy & O’Neil, Alaina worked for a litigation law firm defending complex medical malpractice and product liability disputes including professional liability, premises liability, business liability, G.L. c 93A claims, general negligence and breach of contract. She obtained a defense verdict for a nursing home after a 3-week medical malpractice and wrongful death trial in Suffolk Superior Court (Suffolk County). Alaina has also worked for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. While an ADA, Alaina was a lead prosecutor on over 25 trials and over 40 evidentiary hearings.
Alaina is a 2019 graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy, an intensive trial practice seminar held each year at Stanford Law School. Alaina earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New England Law in 2013. While in law school, Alaina served as an Executive Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review.
