Alaina Devine presented on a panel discussion at the Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ’s) Fall 2023 Member Meeting in New York City entitled “Secrets from the Courtroom: Strategies for Winning Rules Interpretations.” The panel, comprised of three national trial lawyers speaking from firsthand trial experience, explored winning advocacy strategies on the issues of limiting or excluding improper expert testimony, unfair multi-plaintiff trials, and the increased use of live remote testimony in the multi-District litigation context. Alaina focuses her practice on class action and mass tort litigation. Lawyers for Civil Justice is a national coalition of defense trial lawyers and corporate counsel supporting excellence, fairness and improvements within the civil justice system and is considered the preeminent advocacy group for procedural rule reform.
