Katherine Hains obtained a dismissal on behalf of a major automobile manufacturer in Massachusetts state court on breach of warranty and Mass. Gen. Laws c. 93A consumer protection claims arising from an alleged manufacturing defect.  The court dismissed the case after nearly six months of contentious motion practice as a sanction for repeated, willful discovery violations and failure to comply with court orders.
