Members Joseph O’Neil, Kate Wang, and Andreas Ringstad recently obtained dismissal for two companies and two individuals improperly named in a Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas personal injury death case.  The result followed hotly contested discovery and briefing on personal jurisdiction.  The Court was persuaded by the defense arguments that the four defendants lacked sufficient contacts with the forum state, and dismissed with prejudice Plaintiffs’ claims as to all four.
