Jim Campbell will participate in a webinar sponsored by the International Association of Defense Counsel on October 21 regarding issues related to the decision to have litigated matters decided by arbitrators instead of judges and jurors.  The decision to move a case from a courtroom to a conference room has always required strategic thinking and decision making.  In the COVID era, courts are facing mounting backlogs and the use of arbitration as an alternative to traditional litigation may be an alternative to bring closure to civil disputes.  Jim Campbell was invited to participate on the panel to relate his experience with major cases decided by arbitration and to relate his views of the pros and cons of the decision to forgo a jury trial in favor of an arbitrator or arbitration panel.
