Campbell Conroy & O’Neil submitted a brief on behalf of Lawyers for Civil Justice, as amicus curiae, in support of Facebook, Inc., in the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Facebook’s appeal in Attorney General Maura Healey v. Facebook, Inc. raises significant issues surrounding the proper scope and application of the attorney-client privilege and attorney work product doctrines.  The firm’s appellate specialists, Brandon Perkins and Katherine Wang, authored the brief and urged the court to uphold the sanctity of Facebook’s work product protection by reversing the trial court’s ruling.  The Supreme Judicial Court will hear argument from the parties in early December.
