Frances R. McDermott concentrates her practice on defending high exposure, catastrophic losses.
Frances graduated from Drexel University Kline School of Law, where was the recipient of a merit-based scholarship. She gained practical experience in court as a Certified Legal Intern at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, advocating for her Philadelphia resident clients who sought custody of their children and pursued protection from abuse orders. Frances was invited to join the mock trial team and participated in prestigious invitation-only competitions. She was honored with the Kline & Specter Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy in recognition of her many accomplishments, which included Regional Champion at the Texas Young Lawyers National Trial Competition in both 2020 and 2021, and National Quarterfinalist at the National Trial Competition in 2021.
Outside of the office, Frances is an avid runner and loves to visit Philadelphia’s restaurants. She generously donates her time to her alma mater by continuing to coach the mock trial team.
